Alan Harris
Following 15 years in the newspaper industry as a reporter, news editor and sub editor Alan’s creative side finally took hold and he is now a professional playwright.
While in the print business he worked his way up from local newspapers in the South Wales Valleys to The Western Mail and Echo Ltd and has freelanced for publications such as The Observer and Emap magazines. He is NCTJ and Trinity Mirror Proficiency qualified.
As a playwright, Alan is under commission to several British theatres and regularly runs creative writing workshops for the Welsh National Opera’s MAX department and the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain as well as tutoring new writing courses.
Kit Lambert
With a master’s degree in Creative Writing, Kit is a published poet and playwright. His work has been performed at many venues including the Young Vic in London, the Wales Millennium Centre and the 2008 Edinburgh Festival.
Prior to becoming a full-time writer, Kit worked for Wales’ largest arts marketing and audience development agency. He has years of experience in copywriting, conducting press campaigns and producing research reports for publication.
As a workshop leader, Kit has worked with several organisations include Norden Farm Arts Centre, Troublemaker Theatre Company, Wildcard Theatre Company and Aylesbury Council. He has conducted creative writing workshops for adults and young people in this country and abroad.
